        Discover Your Path to Enrichment

Balanced Yoga offers an enriching and comprehensive training series for individuals
aspiring to be teachers, those currently teaching or for serious students of yoga. At Balanced Yoga our goal is to provide the means to truly find out what
it means to live your yoga. Students will not only delve deeply into the dynamic practice of asana but will also integrate the practices of meditation and pranayama—and explore how these three elements combine to bring yoga alive. Study also includes: the philosophical roots of yoga, anatomy, physiology, the theory and practice of teaching, and the science of Ayurveda.

There are three plans of study at Balanced Yoga UniversityTM: a 200–hour teacher training program, a 300–hour teacher training and apprenticeship program, and a 500–hour advanced teacher training program (coming soon.)

200–hour teacher training: now with quarterly enrollment. Quarters begin October, January, April and July. Now accepting applications.
Information Meetings held at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm on September 17 and 24.

Training requires a commitment of time and energy. In addition to weekend sessions, students will be required to take weekly classes, complete homework assignments and reading, and assist/observe classes with senior teachers. This commitment is a big undertaking—both in terms of time devoted to practice as well as study and homework. Students will delve deeply into themselves—transforming the way they have habitually viewed the world. It is recommended that students have at least one year of practice with yoga—we accept students from all styles and backgrounds. Some students may have the desire to go on to teaching, but others may simply choose to deepen their own practice and knowledge—both are encouraged to attend.

Students need not be flexible, free from injuries, or proficient in advanced asana to attend. Most importantly, they must have a strong commitment and desire to learn and practice. Waiting for the perfect time to begin may be denying yourself the path of change and growth... now is the time to discover your path to balance.
